Kenichi Ebina

So welcome to another random post. I was going to make Tuesday "Random Post Tuesday" but then I realized that I do that all the time anyway. So here is your random post of the week.

Have you seen Kenichi Ebina? He is currently on America's Got Talent and he is just so good. Before I go on talking about how amazing he is I just want to say that I pretty much gave up on most of the reality/competition TV shows. I just think that all the good judges are gone and when people vote it isn't always the talent that they are focused on. I do watch The Voice though, just because of Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. They are hilarious and make it so much fun to watch.

Anyway here is Kenichi Ebina's audition:

I don't know if you can tell by the thumbnail but that's freaking awesome. I would just like to make a few remarks. Right before he actually starts to dance he is confused about where to put his microphone (I would be too. I mean you don't want to put it somewhere where you are going to step on it and then kill yourself). Anyway you can just tell the the judges think that he isn't going to be good. Then he does the head thing and everything else and totally proves him wrong!

Right after the head thing he then says "Yeah I'm good." I think that is just awesome. He's like "Yeah. I'm awesome. What are you going to do about it?" Then when he does the falling backwards and getting up with no hands. WHAT THE HECK?! How is that even possible? That is freaking amazing. That probably deals with like a million and one muscles and to do it that easily. What the heck?

Well there is my little bit of excitement. Also just because I like it when the judges are totally wrong here is a video of Terry Fator:

The quality isn't the best so I apologize for that. Anyway once again the judges were totally wrong on how much talent somebody had. Oh! You should know that this was the second season of America's Got Talent and none of those judges are on it anymore. Also Terry Fator won and now has a show in Vegas. So you should go check him out.

I hope you enjoyed this random post where I shared some of the people I think are really talented to you. Stay classy and remember that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Liebster Award

What in the world?! A post not on Friday? Well that's new. You're Welcome. Just Kidding. Wow. That's a lot of really short sentences...

Anyway if you read the title and are confused let my try and explain what this post is about. I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Riley at Smiles No Matter :) (<-- click me!!!). So thanks for that Riley! You should check out her blog where she writes all sorts of inspirational stuff! It will make you smile...just like the title says.

*Warning! This is will be extremely long! Leave now if you don't want to read for a long time!*

What is the Liebster Award? Honestly I'm not entirely sure. All I really know is the rules and I will share those with you in a moment. However, I'm pretty sure that it is pretty much this fun little survey thing that also gives us a chance to explore the world of blogs! Hooray for exploring!

Okay enough of my random ramblings about pretty much nothing. Here are the rules:
  1. Tell your readers 11 facts about yourself.
  2. Answer 11 questions asked by your nominator.
  3. Nominate other bloggers (with less than 200 followers) to receive this award and make 11 questions that they have to answer.
  4. Tell them that would have nominated them!
Sound good? Okay well lets get started with 11 facts about me you may or may not know.
  1. My favorite musical group is a five person acapella group called Pentatonix. I don't think I have every been more excited or obsessed about a musical group. Ever.
  2. I have two cats!
  3. I used to play the piano.
  4. I used to play tee ball. I was extremely little. The first year I was one of two girls on the team. The next year I was the only girl on the team. Then I moved on to softball.
  5. All of my serious injuries have happened on a playground. Playground are dangerous!
  6. I want to be a nerd. Maybe not so much of a nerd that I know whether or not Luke Skywalker is left handed or not, but enough of a nerd that I had played all the Mario, Zelda, and such games. Is that weird?
  7. I have never finished watching a whole hockey game even though I have been to two of them and found them somewhat interesting. I just had to leave for various reasons.
  8. Pretty much all of my favorite characters in anything either die, are evil, turn evil, or in the most extreme case "dies", turns evil, and then dies again. Actually I think another one of my favorites might have "died" three times and is still around. Man, my favorite characters go through a lot.
  9. Speaking of favorite characters, I have a rule that my favorite character can't be a main character. That's probably why they all die.
  10. My favorite colors are neon orange and neon green. No...they don't go together very well. It's kind of sad.
  11. I am obsessed with erasers. I have at least a hundred if not more.
And now it's time for the question Riley has asked:

What is a topic that you can talk about for hours?

For hours?! Oh gosh that's a long time. I don't really talk about anything for hours that often because I say what I want to say and then I'm done with it. If I had to choose though it would probably be anything video related (like a movie, TV show, anime, etc.) just because you can keep watching it and having new things to talk about after watching a new episode or movie from the series. Plus if you have already seen it and you watch it again you can express your excitement or astonishment when you discover something you never noticed before.

What is your favorite movie?

Gosh that's hard too. I have this idea in my mind that each movie has their own aspect that make them unique which makes it kinda hard for me to pick a favorite. If I had to choose it would either be Tangled or How to Train Your Dragon

If you could go anywhere in the world and with anyone, where would you go and with whom?

If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to the eastern hemisphere and I would go with my friends. Did I cheat the question by saying a hemisphere? Oh well. ...Oh alright. If I have to choose one specific place it would probably Australia or New Zealand and yes still with my friends. I don't think I am capable of picking one person to go with me.

Why do you blog?

Well I started blogging because I knew I was going to need to rant to someone/something and actually feel like I was being heard. I was in a rough patch because I had a question in my head that expressed my annoyance with the world. It was "Who do you complain to when you want to complain about everyone?" Yeah. I was really annoyed. So I made a blog. Why do I blog now? Well it keeps me sane and its not like I have anything better to do some days right?

If you only had five sentences left to say before losing the ability to speak, what would you say?

"I only have five sentences left in my entire life?! How is that even possible what kind of disease or malfunction am I experiencing? Wait! Could I just never end my sentences and always be able to speak? That would be nice."
*in my mind*
Sounds goo--wait! Why isn't any noise coming out of my mouth? Crap! I already used my five sentences! Gosh dang it!

If you wanted some really deep answer I'm sorry. I don't think I'm capable of providing one for you.

Who is your favorite character in fiction?

Um...probably Scooby Doo. If you couldn't tell by my alias. However, I have many many many many favorite characters many of which die. A lot of them also come from mystery related shows because they are just so awesome.

What is a song you could listen to on replay for hours?

Again. Hours is an extremely long time. That's like listening to a normal length song more than 30 times. I would probably get sick of the song after that long. But since I have to choose it would be Running Just to Catch Myself by Mark Schultz. It doesn't have an official music video but this is better than a lyrics video right? So the guy in the video isn't Mark Schultz.

I like this song just because its so much fun and the lyrics are actually rather funny. Not to mention its over 5 minutes so I wouldn't hear it as many times in one hour.

Describe yourself in 3 words!

I am weird. Oh wait did you want three adjectives? I don't do well with describing myself.

There is a snow day and school was cancelled--what do you do?

Realistically or what I wish happened? Realistically sit at home watching a movie, play a video game, maybe read, and of course sleep. What I wished happened is I would go sledding and build a snow fortress with my friends. Then go inside have delicious hot cocoa and apple cider. Maybe watch a movie or something. I don't know, the point is I would be with my friends. However, since it's a snow day I can't exactly drive anywhere which means I'm stuck in my neighborhood where I don't really know people.

What is your favorite book, and why?

Favorite book? Oh goodness. I really don't know. Maybe Harry Potter because I think that was really when I got more into actually reading. Either that or the Pendragon series. That was a really fun series that I feel like not very many people actually know about. However, I really don't think I have a book that I've read multiple times.

What is your favorite quotation?

I don't really have a favorite quote that is inspirational if that's what you're looking for. Otherwise it would either have to be "They popped out of the snow! Like daisies!" by Mushu in Mulan just because its amazing how he says that. The other quote needs the previous remarks to actually make sense. So here we go:
"Zoinks!" -Shaggy
"Rikes!" - Scooby
"Jeepers!" - Daphne
"Jinkies!" -Velma
"... Dang! I still don't have a catch phrase!" - Fred
Poor Fred. I don't know why but that's the quote that always pops into my head because it's rather ironic. A quote about not having a catch phrase (or quote). ...Well I think it's funny. That's from Scooby Doo and the Samurai Sword if you were interested. I really enjoyed that movie.
Oh! There's another one! Sorry I can't really decide which is my favorite... "It was the first new century in one hundred years." I really like that quote just because it's true and has this sort of excitement in it. It is from the first introduction song of Detective Conan which is an anime. There you go. Officially done. :D

Okay now for my nominees!

Congratulations all of you wonderful people!

And my questions to you are:
  1. If you could be any ice cream flavor what flavor would you be? (Keep in mind that the tastier you are the more likely you are to be eaten)
  2. What is your favorite smell?
  3. What is your pick-me-up? So what do you do/eat/whatever when you are feeling upset or sad to make yourself feel better?
  4. Quick! What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear: marshmallow
  5. If you were a super hero what would your weakness be?
  6. What is your favorite lyric from a song?
  7. Favorite thing to do on an extremely hot summer day.
  8. If you could create the name for the color of a crayon what would it be?
  9. What is something you don't understand about the world (it can be anything you want).
  10. What is your favorite planet? (For purposes of my questions we are going to say that Pluto is a planet since it's my favorite so if you want to choose Pluto you can!).
  11. Explain your hopes for your blog in two sentences
Well there you have it! I hope you enjoyed this post. Stay classy and remember that you are a unique individual who is awesome and super duper incredible!

P.S. So this post has taken me way too long to actually write. So it is long overdue and I apologize that it took me five million years....even though you probably didn't know I was doing it.

Communication (Part 2)

So I kinda forgot about last weeks post...I got a little busy and when I got home I was too exhausted to do anything. Since I feel like communication is really important we are going to continue from the last time I talked about this. So lets get to it!

Have you ever had this conversation?

Parent: "You all packed?"
You: "For what?"
Parent: "We are going on vacation!"
You: "Really? When?"
Parent: "Tomorrow. I told you that."
You: "What?! No you didn't."
Parent: "Sure I did." *walks away*

I don't know if I've had that exact conversation but I have had similar situations. So here's the point I want to make. Make sure you tell people important information. Also even if you tell them that make sure they actually heard you because many times people will be in shock or too tired to understand what you are actually saying. Does that make sense?

I don't know if I told you this but I'm not exactly the best at communicating. For example sometimes I will just make a noise. Just like a squeak or something. No, it's not just when I'm surprised. I will just make a noise to express my feeling. I don't know why it just happens.

In my last communication post I gave an example of a confusing conversation. After I published that post I got to thinking about and found some other confusing parts of it. So let's get into that shall we? We shall.

So this is that conversation:

"What channel is it?"
"What?"
"What channel is it?"
"I don't know what you're looking for."
"I don't know what's on."
"..."

How did you read "What?" That's what I want to know because you can either read it as "What are you talking about" or "What program". Depending on how you say something it can mean something totally different. There was an example of this in Cars. When Lightning McQueen said "Yeah okay" to Sally (the blue car) and she was all like "Well what does that mean?" Do you remember that? No? Darn. Just watch the movie again and you'll see what I'm talking about. After all it is a good movie.

Alright now for the major ranting part of the post. Contractions. You know "it's"," you're", "don't", all those good things. Well I have come to learn that you aren't supposed to use them when writing a paper. Why? Because it doesn't sound as professional. That doesn't make any sense to me. In school we had to learn about how contractions work. It was one of the first things we learned. I don't know about you but I had a whole worksheet on how they worked and what "would" and "not" would combine to become. I probably had a test on it too! It was called phonics. So here's my problem. Why did we learn it if we aren't supposed to use it? It doesn't make any sense!

Okay now for a more serious matter. My pastor actually talked about words on Sunday (which actually reminded me about this post). Anyway he gave an illustration that he really likes and I kinda like to. Okay take a bottle of toothpaste and push all of the toothpaste out. You don't actually have to do this just imagine if you want. Okay now that all the toothpaste is out try to put it back in. How's that going? Not that well? Yeah. That's the point. You can't put the toothpaste back in. If you don't believe me then try it. Think of the toothpaste as words. It is really easy to let all of these words out but its a lot harder to take them back. Just think about the next time you want to say something mean to someone.

Well that's it for this long awaited post (just kidding). I just decided (literally like a minute ago) that at the very very end, so after this little paragraph I would list topics I plan on writing about. Just so you know and hopefully keep you interested so you come back! Stay classy and be careful what you say to people. Say one thing and you could loose a friend. Words are powerful. Use them wisely.

In the future! Nail polish, fangirling, and YOLO! What?!

Liquid Pencils!

The evolution of the pencil:
The stick

The new and improved stick: A Pencil
*dramatic music as light shines from above*

The new and improved pencil: The Mechanical Pencil
Hallelujah! No more sharpening!

The new and improved mechanical pencil: The Liquid Pencil

I don't know about you but I am extremely excited about this. A liquid pencil! It's like a pen only a pencil! Granted they do have erasable pens but I just don't feel like they always worked that great. With this new liquid pencil you don't have to click or worry about breaking lead or adding lead! The only thing you need to worry about is the eraser which seems slightly small but that's okay. Gives you an excuse to buy erasers (which I really like).

I really want to get a liquid pencil. Just so I can at least determine whether it is as cool as I imagine it to be. Plus people always complain about how a normal pencil isn't as smooth as writing with a pen (which I tend to agree) so this could help with that too. Plus no squeaking! Ever take a math test and while you're doing the math on your test excitedly and quickly because you actually know how to solve the problem this time and then SQUEAK! your pencil squeaks and alerts the whole class that your writing? Yeah, me too. I hate that. Especially when no matter how you write it just keeps squeaking. So annoying.

My friend got them and says that they don't work that well though. This made me very sad. However, I still want one but think it might be better to let them improve it (if they actually do) before I actually buy them.

Just thought I would let you know. Stay classy and don't erase everything because something you write could save a life one day.

P.S. There is a poll on the left hand side! You should do it!
